She married John Harding on “March 13, 1873 at Bishop Edwin D. Wooley’s home. Their wedding certificate was a folded sheet of lined paper with the Beehive stamp in the top left hand corner. Written in Bishop Wooley’s beautiful hand, it states: Salt Lake City, Utah, March 13th, 1873. This is to certify that John Harding and Jane Evans were joined in Holy Wedlock at the residence of Bishop E. D. Wooley in the 13th Bishop Ward of Salt Lake City, Utah on the 13th day of March A.D. 1873. Edwin D. “…she reached the age of twenty-one when she records that she became the mother of a baby, who was given the name of Thomas. The child lived only one year and three months, dying in the spring of 1871.”
