Helen Martha Leavitt Obituary

HELEN (LENZ) LEAVITT, beloved wife of Jay M Leavitt of Kinuso, Alberta, passed away at High Prairie on Sunday, September 20, 1987 at the age of 65 years.

Born in Cardston, raised in Hillspring, she also resided in Rosemary, Taber and returned to Hillspring before moving to Kinuso.

Predeceased by her parents, August and Della Lenz; two sisters, Lottie (Francis) Lawlor and Ireta Lenz; and an infant brother, Henry.

She leaves to nourn her husband and seven children, Jerry (Anna) Leavitt of Rocky Mountain House, Martha (Blaine) Harding of Grassy lake, Ellen (Clay) Whaley of Grande Prairie, Douglas (Elaine) Leavitt of Sherwood Park, Pearl (Lyle) Miller of High Prairie, Glenda Leavitt of Calgary, Gayla (Darrell) Payne of Canyon Creek and 17 grandchildren.

She is also survived by nine sisters, Melva (Evan) Harker of Cardston, Myrtle (Linden) Litchfield of Taber, Irma and Norman Anderson of Taber, Ruth Day of Lethbridge, Joyce (Ray) Pederson of Saskatchewan, Ruby Fletcher of Lethbridge, Rachael (Mark) Merrill of Hillspring, Marietta (Bill) Oviatt of Spruce Grove, Hazel Lenz of Calgary.

Funeral services will be held in Slave Lake on Thursday, September 24th at 2 PM. Friends in this area may attend an interment service on Friday, September 25th at 5 PM in the Cardston cemetery followed by lunch at the home of Evan and Melva Harker of Cardston.
